Does a vehicle need programming when it's involved in an accident?
Most vehicles manufactured after 2010 require pre-repair and post-repair diagnostics and programming to ensure vehicle systems operate as intended by the manufacturer. This ensures that safety features operate as intended.
How long does calibrations/ programming take?
Depending on how many calibrations required, minimum time of around an hour.
How much room is required for calibrations?
Do you need internet connectivity?
In order to run the various software platforms, yes. Programming modules might require a hardline internet connection.
Do you have to have OEM replacement parts for programming?
Most manufacturer position statements require OEM replacement parts.
How much fuel needs to be in a vehicle for calibrations?
Most manufacturer requirements are at full tank of fuel.
When are ADAS calibrations needed?
Wheel alignments, windshield replacements, after collision repairs, or if any warning lights are present ADAS related.
Can I drive my vehicle without calibrations?
Without calibrations your vehicle will not respond correctly to lane departure, forward collision or other important ADAS safety features.
How much does ADAS calibrations cost?
Depending on vehicle type, type of calibrations needed or if programming is needed as well; $125.00 to $500.00 per calibration.
